Why am I here?
To support the topic of neurodiversity and mobilize for constructive action, support it’s potential in the work environment. For both individuals and organisations.
Who am I?
My name is Maja Żuraw-Sowińska. I am an HR proffesional, but above all a mother of two wonderful children, a traveler, a passionate enthusiast of effective relationships. After years of working in HR departments, I directed my commitment to supporting ADHD, ADD, AuDHD and neurosensitivity, introducing changes in the business and social environment. I am involved in projects supporting neurodiverse employees. I was inspired not only by observations and conclusions drawn from my professional life, but also by my personal experience with neurodiversity.

My story
1
The path of education
I graduated from the Maritime University in Gdynia specializing in Human Resources Management. During my studies I participated in a research scholarship from the University of La Coruña in Spain, at the Faculty of Sociology. I also completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics in the field of HRBP – Human Resources Business Partner. My diploma thesis focused on professional burnout, which has many underlying factors, including unaddressed neurodiversity. It was a turning point for me in perceiving the essence of inclusive activities in the organization and especially sensitized me to the presence of neurodiversity among employees. It encouraged me to delve into HR psychology and psychoeducation. Currently, I acquire knowledge about diversity, with an emphasis on ADHD, ADD, AuDHD from Polish and foreign literature and publications, through cooperation with organizations involved in helping neuroatypical people, conferences, trainings.

Professional experience
For over 15 years I have been actively involved in the subject of human resources management. While working for small and large companies (including Shneider Electric, LPP SA, CitiBank Europe, Brown Forman), I had the opportunity to participate in HR processes on many levels – from recruitment and selection, onboarding, support for the development, creating trainings, offboarding interviews etc. I had noticed how many valuable people do not pass the recruitment process, despite having the right experience, how much attention is given to inclusiveness in corporations, overlooking the integration of neuroatypical people and more. This direction absolutely absorbed me. To develop it I needed time and space. This is how the Neurokulturalni.pl project was born
